We have 11 trailer here. Weather was good all weekend.
Rented a boat on Saturday to get out on the water.
Communial cooking most meals
Campfire two nights. Lots of fellowship sharing with long time members and new members.

Starved Rock Rally May 17-19 Utica,IL

We had nine trailers and 17 members with lots of new people in attendance.. A few of us retirees stayed over Sunday night. We had a bit of occasional rain, but we worked around it. The sound of rain on the Airstream roof was nice Friday night. The club grill made communal cooking easy.

2019 Kick off Rally- Amboy 4H Fairgrounds – April 26-28th

Despite the snow and 32 degree temperatures, eighteen brave couples attended.  Friday dinner was a BYO Entry on the Club Grill.  The Friday evening Board Meeting, updated unit Bylaws.   Saturday Membership meeting updated unit Constitution  That afternoon, we had a “Tech Talk” session and happy hour.  Saturday dinner was another BYO Entry with dish to pass. Saturday evening we watched Wally’s African Caravan via the internet and the club projector. Good thing we had the warm fairgrounds buildings.

Pizza Party – Mar. 16th Lou Mainati’s – Elk Grove Villiage

Seventeen people attended our pizza party at Lou’s  The winter weather is finally letting up, so we can start thinking about camping and touring. Quite a few new members attended, and introduced themselves.  As usual, the pizzas and the conversations were good. Looking forward to our first rally  in April at Amboy.

RV show and Cooper’s Hawk Dinner

Eight couples attended the RV show at Rosemont Convention Center and the dinner at Cooper’s Hawk Restaurant.  The show was good, but no one bought a new Airstream.

Northern NIAC Luncheon Jan. 12- Hoolihans

Dolores had 23 members attend the luncheon in Geneva. Weather, food, and conversations were good. Quite a few new members attended and introduced themselves and their Airstream dreams.
The ECC has changed the url address of all WBCCI websites to ******.AIRSTREAMCLUB.NET. Therefore, the Northern Illinios. airstreamclub.wbcci.net address is now northernillinois.airstreamclub.net. NIAC Snowbirds luncheon -January,29th -Travelers Rest

NIAC snowbirds met at Ruth hall in Travelers Rest for a potluck lunch  – Hosts were Jim & Roberta Matkovich. Six members held a second luncheon at Rusty Bellies, at Tarpon Springs, April 3rd.

Thirty plus Northern Illinois Airstreamers gathered on a rainy Saturday afternoon, for a luncheon and pleasant conversations.  The weather was much better than the 12 in. of snow, we had earlier in the week.  Five of our past presidents and current officers attended.  There were also a fair number of new members, who introduced themselves, their Airstreams, and hopes for future Airstream adventures.

Oct. 19th -21st – Amboy Thanksgiving/ Installation Rally –

Eleven couples came out to a warm fairgrounds, for a couple cool evenings (22F).  We conducted our business/election/installation meeting and had a Turkey Feast. We used the club TV projector for entertainment indoors.

 

 

September 26-30 -Region 5 Rally-Springfield, IL

Bob Whitesell (Region 5 President) held the Region Rally at Springfield State Fairgrounds.   All that came had a good time visiting : Lincoln house and monuments, Frank Lloyd Wright house, Governor’s mansion, and State government buildings in Springfield.  Weather was good, as well as the camaraderie.  They had 14 trailers in attendance.  Latest Region 5 news at: https://region5.wbcci.net/
